Rust
Rust is a systems programming language designed for both memory safety and performance.
Rust began as a personal project of a Mozilla developer and grew with Mozilla's sponsorship, reaching version 1.0 in 2015. It prevents memory errors through compile-time ownership checks rather than garbage collection.
It is used as an alternative to C and C++ in areas that need both performance and reliability, such as operating systems, browsers and cloud infrastructure. The Rust Foundation has supported the language's ecosystem since 2021.
