Swift
Swift is a programming language created by Apple for building apps on its platforms, such as iOS and macOS.
Swift is a general-purpose programming language that Apple announced in 2014 as a successor to Objective-C, the language previously used for most development on Apple platforms. It became open source in 2015 and can also be used on other operating systems such as Linux.
Designed around memory safety and concise syntax, it is a primary language for building apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch.
