KPI
A key performance indicator (KPI) is a quantifiable measure used to track how well an organization, business, or activity is progressing toward its goals.
KPI stands for key performance indicator, a term from business management and performance measurement. Organizations choose a small set of measurable values that matter most to their goals, such as revenue, visitors, conversion rate, or churn, and track them regularly. A metric can be any measured value, whereas a KPI is a metric tied directly to a specific objective. KPIs are often used alongside OKRs (objectives and key results).
In software and AI-driven operations, KPIs are commonly displayed on dashboards, with data collection and reporting automated so that results can be compared against targets.
