Google Cloud is the cloud computing platform Google offers to businesses and developers. It grew out of App Engine, introduced in 2008, and was long known as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). It provides virtual machines, container platforms such as Cloud Run and Google Kubernetes Engine, data storage and analytics, networking and security services.

For AI work, it offers Model Garden, a catalog of Gemini and other models, along with development tools and runtimes for building and deploying models and AI agents, and operations tools such as Cloud Trace for following how requests execute. The Google Cloud CLI manages resources from the command line.
