Tailwind CSS is a CSS framework created by Adam Wathan and others and first released in 2017; it is now developed by Tailwind Labs. It styles interfaces by applying classes that each handle a single style, such as spacing, color or font size, directly in HTML, and it keeps only the classes actually used when a project is built.

Because it combines small style units rather than supplying predesigned components, it is described as utility-first. It is widely used in front-end development with tools such as React and Next.js.
