Agent Development Kit (ADK) is an open-source framework that Google released in 2025 for building, testing and deploying AI agents in code, that is, programs that use language models to call tools and carry out tasks. Libraries are available for several programming languages, including Python.

It supports multi-agent setups in which several agents divide roles, connections to external tools and APIs, and evaluation of agent behavior. It is designed to work with Gemini models but can also connect to other language models.
