rqlite is an open-source distributed relational database that uses SQLite as its storage engine. Written in Go, it replicates data across multiple nodes with the Raft consensus algorithm so the data survives the failure of some nodes. It was created by developer Philip O'Toole.

Data is managed with SQL, and reads and writes are sent through an HTTP API. It is used to keep data that must stay available, such as configuration and metadata, replicated across several servers.
