Rive is a tool for creating interactive graphics, made by a company of the same name. In its editor, designers build vector artwork, bones and animations, and use state machines to define how a graphic changes in response to pointer, touch and input values.

Finished work is exported as a .riv file and played by runtimes for the web, iOS, Android and other platforms. Unlike a video clip or a Lottie file, which plays a fixed sequence, a Rive graphic is drawn in real time and reacts to input while it runs.
