Final Cut Pro is a professional video editing application developed by Apple for macOS. Apple acquired the software from Macromedia and first released it in 1999. It uses nonlinear editing, in which video and audio clips can be cut and arranged freely on a timeline, and it includes tools for color correction, titles, effects and audio editing.

In 2011 Apple released Final Cut Pro X, a redesigned version of the application, and the product later returned to the Final Cut Pro name. A version for iPad is also available.
